Hikka Tranz By Cinnamon

If you plan on snorkeling in Sri Lanka, Hikkaduwa is the place to go - and there is no better option for your stay than Hikka Tranz! Great food with decent variety and particularly good sweets, pretty clean, stunning views and I definitely appreciated the dehumidifier in the room. The fact that you can always swim with a turtle right as you enter the beach right in front of the hotel is an unmatchable bonus.

The place definitely needs a bit of a refresh and the elevators were simply awful (one of the 2 completely stopped working on day 2 of our stay). And I would say that the all-inclusive package may have not been worth it - while I do get the usual restrictions for only covering local drinks, I have to say it was a first to hear that they were only serving wine during meal service, exclusively at the main restaurant - so if you wanted a glass of wine by the pool, you had to pay extra.

Hotel location is good, staff is friendly. Food is good.

Rooms need serious refreshments, especially the bathroom, as well as the gym. The beach in front of the hotel is not private.

Location. Direct access to turtle beach. The rooms were great. The balconies are amazing to relax in.

I didn’t expect hikkadua to be this pricey. Expect high prices inside and outside the hotel.

It was so good staff were excellent, helpfull, i arrived before 2pm, they solve all problems smoothly specially miss Avon and mr Asanka and missMuthomali who gave me alot of advises. All team had nice smile?

The value was little expensive?

Location is great. Right in front the turtles beach and the baby sharks area. Breakfast was good. They provided us gluten free bread.Staff were nice and pool was good.We really enjoyed our stay.

Property and location is fabulous, 2nd time there.,With kids. They loved it.

Wow from the main road we did not expect such a lovley resort. The staff, the food, the room and the pool were all amazing and we were great that this was how we wrapped up our last week in Sri Lanka. Would highly recommend and had a wonderful and comfortable stay.

This is not reflective of the hotel however they are on Turtle beach and its sad to see the men out the front getting people to grab the turtles and feed the turtles, please dont do this as these beatiful creatures have now lost the ability to find their own food and get handled when they should be left to just be. No reflection on Hotel as they do not support this from what we could tell.

The lobby and entrance look very clean and beautiful, and the food is truly awesome.

I honestly don’t know how this can be called a five-star hotel. But the rooms are a huge disappointment — not clean at all and literally full of ants. Because of this, I would not recommend staying here.

Can hear DJ sounds when we try to sleep, poor facilities ( can hear air conditioners sound in the room ) , poor temperature controller

Food was amazing ?. Rooms were comfortable. Kids enjoyed the pool.

Bathroom fittings were old and the water pressure in the bathroom was less. The bathroom flush button was hard to press.

The staff was the highlight. Each morning we were greeted with a smiling face. walking out of the room, the room boys were kind and bubbly. special mentions go out to Manoj, who took extra care in arranging our room. The security staf were ever helpful and kind. the Restaurant was great, had indoor and outdoor seating and the staff were wonderful. special shoutouts to Renuka who was ever smiling, Sampath who knew my preference for the table and the king coconut glass i drank, and eepa who was always ready to help.Reception was no exception. Thiloochana who took amazing car and showed professionalism and Javisanka who assisted by going the extra step every time.The only downside was the noise outside the room. there were flocks of crows and "Maina birds" and parrots who sang their song from dawn to dusk. even with the terrace door closed, it was noisy enough. The room was large (we were three) and a lovely balcony added to the charm. we asked for a sea-view room and they delivered. At the end of our 10 day stay, they offered a free meal at the dinner buffet and made it special with a poolside table.All in all, we were extremely happy with my stay.

The rooms were great, but the terrace door could be a bit more sound proof. the birds sang and that was noisy, and my downstairs neighbor decided to play loud music on our last day so if the terrace doors were well sound-proofed, this would be much better.

Great location and comfortable room. Food was exceptional. Right by the beach. Witnessed a cultural show after dinner which was quite delightful and added a beautiful touch to the evening.

Nothing to say. But an update to the hotel rooms will be wonderful.

A Perfect Getaway at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon!I recently stayed at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and professional. I especially need to mention Ms Vishmi @ front desk, who handled our checking process, the warm welcome she gave us, and my daughter was thrilled to receive the Turtle toy, which she gave, which was a real surprise for her. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were instantly impressed by the hotel’s stunning beachfront location.The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with balconies that offer breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset right from our room was truly unforgettable.The hotel has a great range of amenities—an inviting pool, excellent spa services, and multiple dining options. The food was delicious and diverse, with a good balance of local and international cuisine. The breakfast buffet, in particular, was impressive, with fresh fruits, Sri Lankan specialties, and Western favorites. the team at pool bar was very much active in serving their customers they had a very attractive list of cocktails.One of the highlights of our stay was the warm hospitality and friendliness of the entire team. Everyone—from housekeeping to the restaurant staff—went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a base for exploring the vibrant town of Hikkaduwa, Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon is the perfect choice. We left with beautiful memories and would definitely love to return!Highly recommended!

Great location and spectacular views of the ocean! Very polite and courteous staff always at your service.

The flooring in rooms are very dated and collect alot of dust. Wish they had accompanied amenities for 3 pax

First of all, the staff was really nice and helpful from the moment we stepped out of the car to the checking to the checkout next day, they were really wonderful and helpful at all. Everyone on the staff were very friendly and had nice smiles too. The location was great. The breakfast and dinner buffet foods were tasty. For the price point, I'd say this is a good getaway place with a nice sea view that someone might wanna have a take a look.

Well, to be honest, the property is I'd say somewhat outdated from the modern era. Definitely needing some renovations for sure. I've booked two (02) Sea View Rooms and one room was okay and the other had had an issue where few water droplets were seen dropping down from the ceiling making the floor wet. That needs to be taken care of. Also, when it comes to the buffets, It'd be great if some more food varieties can be added including some seafood live station etc. As well. Another thing we really disliked was the wristband at checkin. It was really annoying and I suggest that the property should look for alternative ways in which the guests and other outsiders can be distinguished as the security should not come at a cost of discomfort to the in-house guests.
